Virginia Darrow-Menegaz, MS, RD, LN, Founder and Principal

Virginia Darrow-Menegaz earned a Master of Science degree in
clinical nutrition from New York University (NYU). She earned
a bachelors of science degree in hotel and restaurant administration
from the New York Institute of Technology, and is a former adjunct
instructor in Nutrition and Food Studies at NYU.
Ms. Darrow-Menegaz is a registered dietitian whose affiliations
include the American Dietetic Association (ADA), the National
Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and the Maryland
Board of Dietetic Practice. She is a member of the following
ADA specialty practice groups:
- Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN)
- Vegetarian Nutrition (VN)
- Nutrition and Complimentary Care (NCC)
- Medical Nutrition
- Hunger and Environmental Nutrition
- Consultant Dietitians in Health Care Facilities (CD-HCF)
- Nutrition Entrepreneurs
She is a nationally certified "ServSafe" Instructor, and is
also the president of Consulting Nutritionists in the Chesapeake
Bay Area.
Prior to founding Nutrition For Wellness™ in 1998, Ms. Darrow-Menegaz
worked as a wellness and fitness instructor, nutrition consultant
and clinical nutritionist for several hospitals and health facilities
throughout the east coast region. Her experience spans hospitals,
outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, fitness retreats,
gourmet natural cooking school engagements, and community and
wellness centers.
In addition to her work for Nutrition For Wellness™, Virginia is also the
founder and president of Nutrition Software Solutions, Inc.™,
which developed a cutting-edge nutrition assessment software
program for healthcare professionals. She is a former restaurant
owner, triathelete, and fitness trainer who has successfully
completed three New York City marathons, all comfortably sub-four-hour
marathons.
She lives in Maryland with her husband and two daughters.
